Women’s Justin Cowboy Boots

When three brothers took over their fathers boot business after nearly forty years, they decided to make  the first boot ever made exclusively and particularly for women, the Western Gypsy. Even now, owned by the megafirm Berkshire Hathaway, the material, style, and workmanship must be the very best, a tradition passed down by lovers of the “Spirit of the West.”

Making the boot

Technology has allowed for quicker and more efficient boot-making. Skilled craftsmen, though continue to be the heart of the process. It takes over 100 steps and more than 16 square feet of natural leather to make each pair of boots.

The perfect fit

The four keys to the perfect boot are a snug instep, the foot ball and boot ball together, the heel slips only slightly until broken in, and the comfort of the wearer. The J-flex Comfort System allows for a cushioned and comfortable fit from the start, like the boots were already broken in for the customer.  Many styles include a removable orthotic insert as well.

Style matters

The shaft of the boots vary from 8 inches to a towering 13 inches. Stitching is done by computer with leather pieced together by hand. Designs, scalloping, and embroidery are exacting and toes may be blunt or pointed. Finish may be anywhere from high polish to distressed. Often the shaft and boot have different leather or finish, and the leather may be cowhide, goat, zebra, puma, iguana or other leathers. There is quite a selection of full quill ostrich.

Overview

However a lady likes her boots, Justin will have a style fit just for her. Many are very traditional and some are quite modern, but all Justin cowgirl boots are firmly planted in both the craftsmanship and style of the old west.
